"Welcome to my website. This is not only meant to promote my books but also to tell you a little about myself. One of the menu sections is marked 'The Author' and will provide some basic personal information.

I do hope that you enjoy the Château Sarony novels. They are intended as light action/mystery stories featuring a husband and wife named Martin and Anna Price. Although archaeologists by profession, their work has evolved into the investigation of historical and semi-historical mysteries. Although dealing with events of the past, their investigations regularly bring them close to very real dangers of the present day. So far there are fifteen published books in the series and I hope to publish a sixteenth in 2025.

In 2017 I also published an alternative to Château Sarony entitled Spitfire Inheritance. A second book followed named Hurricane Enigma, and a third - Lancaster Resolution - featuring Colin Medhurst and Billy Hagen, who were joined in the third story by Lady Wendy Donaldson. I intend to feature her in further books of this series.

Having first portrayed Clarence Wilkinson and Jenny Matheson in a segment of The Brandenburg Cipher I decided to award them a series of their own named 'Wilkinson at War' set in war-torn Britain of the 1940s. The result was 'The Woman from St John's Wood', followed by 'The Ten-Bob Traitors'. A third story, named 'The Mayfair Ring' has just been published.

Thank you for visiting my website. Please feel free to comment or ask questions."

The Mayfair Ring

ISBN: 9798285767626

In 1941, the small counter-intelligence section known as RU40, run by Clarence Wilkinson, was instrumental in shutting down a German counterfeiting operation and neutralising its members. Many in the intelligence service considered the case had been satisfactorily concluded, although it was never discovered exactly how instructions were passed between the German Abwehr and its agents in Britain. Due to his dislike of loose ends, Wilkinson is determined to uncover the method employed and, together with Jenny Matheson and Tom Adams, commences a low-key investigation which takes them to the south coast of England.
Too late, it is realised that their uninvited presence and enquiries so close to Dover could jeopardise the recovery by a secret Dover unit of a heroic intelligence officer from enemy-occupied France. They are quickly drawn into the periphery of the recovery scheme, together with a young police constable, to avoid unintentionally disrupting the operation.
During the course of the investigation, Jenny Matheson becomes the object of attention of a romantic nature, which leads her to take extreme action as the only way to fend off the unwanted and increasingly persistent advances.
Meanwhile, in France, a senior German Abwehr officer is finalising his plan for an operation designed to cause major embarrassment to Britain, and inevitably, the activities of both protagonists converge.

The Inkerman Experience

ISBN: 9798302403575

It is 2016 and a bullet-holed French army jacket of Crimean War vintage and a soldier’s 1854 letter mentioning his comrade’s murder arouses the interest of Anna and Martin Price. They follow the path of a mysterious agent of the Russian Orthodox Church from a ruined monastery in Inkerman to Marseilles and from there to Paris where they initially lose sight of him. Access to the records of Les Invalides enables them to once more pick up his trail only to find that he died in an accident at a North London pub in 1887. While investigating the Russian agent, the unexpected appearance in Sarony of Martin’s ex-wife Yvonne provokes a confrontation at Auberge Fleurie between Martin and Gerard, Yvonne’s companion. Martin’s threat to kill the man results in suspicion falling on him when Gerard is murdered in Dijon a few hours later. Help requested in Yvonne’s phone call to Martin is vetoed by Anna who fears that her husband’s ex-wife is involved in a drug distribution racket. Within forty-eight hours Yvonne’s body is pulled from a Dijon lake.Much to Anna’s displeasure, Martin sets out to find her killer and following their visit to London, the couple are forced to accept the unlikely evidence of a link existing between the soldier’s murder in 1854 murder and Yvonne’s murder in 2016. They are not the only people interested in what their London visit uncovered and Anna finds herself cornered by a vengeful psychopath.

The third book in the Wilkinson at War series takes place in 1940s Britain and follows Clarence Wilkinson and Jenny Matheson as they examine the events unfolding on the Kentish coast with Britain facing the threat of invasion from enemy-occupied Europe.

Alternatively, if you enjoyed my earlier books featuring the husband and wife team of Anna and Martin Price, then this fifteenth Château Sarony novel is for you. The action occurs in the summer of 2016 and takes place in England and France.
